I’ve been considering buying a new car. I currently have a Volvo V70 that’s getting on a bit now. Things are starting to fall off and the servicing costs are getting more expensive. I also swear that the fuel economy is getting worse by the month, a sign the car must be getting old now!
I decided to start looking into researching a new, smaller car. I considered another estate but decided that it would be too big, now that the kids have gone back to school. So I started looking at big hatchbacks.
The obvious choice, and the one that most websites say I should buy, is the Volkswagen Golf. However having owned a VW before and not being impressed I decided not to bother. Instead I ended up buying a Citroen DS5. I read the review on carbuzz, which is here. They pointed out the DS5 is a much more unique choice, so it’s the one I went for.
