Where’s My Companion?

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

Everyone needs companionship and to have people that they love and can share with. It is a great shame to go about life without having anyone like this and so it is one of the things worth putting time and effort into.

Many people of course when they are with their girlfriend or boyfriend will spend a lot of time with them. They may even live together and enjoy doing things together and seeing each other all the time.

When you have a great companion like this, it can be incredibly distressing should you ever have to break up. This could stem from a minor argument to something more serious but every relationship has highs and once you have broken up, you know that you won’t be having any more of them.

Your companions become the break up songs that help you through it. You will be spending a lot of time with them when things end.

Definitely an Interesting Guitar

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

I think that of all the guitars that I’ve encountered lately, the sa 100 seems to be one of the most promising of them all. I’m sure that it’s not the best of the bunch, but I certainly believe that it might be the best that Fender has to offer at the moment when it comes to acoustic guitars. Also, I’m not really sure whether or not other people are impressed by what the sa 100 has to offer. I think that the wood finish is really nice, and I think that it can go a long way in motivating other people to really pick up their guitars and start playing. Of course, I think that there are others who prefer the Jasmine by Takamine instead of the sa 100, and I think that’s perfectly fine. It’s a free world after all. But I would really like to have the best guitar possible.

Yamaha Violin, a Nice Gift This Yuletide Season

Friday, December 9th, 2011

During the yuletide season when carolling becomes part of traditional merry making, Yamaha Violin can be a nice gift to the carollers who go round about rendering seasonal music to people in the neighborhood. When I was in my secondary school days, I was a member of band. The instrument that I used to play is the guitar – lead and bass guitar. Whenever Christmas season comes around, some people who knew that I am guitar player would ask me to go with them for a carolling. These people needed me to play the guitar for them. Unfortunately, all those years I never own a guitar. I knew how to play the guitar but I did not own one for my personal use at home. My wish then to own a guitar never really comes true. No one ever thought of giving me a gift then. I can imagine someone now who might be having the same wish, too. If anybody can afford to give a gift, why not give a Yamaha Violin to that person especially this season of carolling.

Is It Better Than Yamaha?

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

Well, I don’t know why but it seems that more and more people prefer to buy the Peavey Escort 2000 and not the Yamaha Stagepas. I really don’t understand why, because from what I know, the Yamaha Stagepas is superior in all respects. I think that maybe Peavey has made a name for itself as well, and so people think that when they hear the name Peavey, they also have a very good product that allows them to convey and deliver quality sound to any area. I think that it’s really just the impression at work. But eventually of course, people will just have to try and test both kinds of public address systems to see which is really better. I don’t really know which is the best, since I have to confess that I haven’t really been able to try any of them, but from everything that I’ve been reading so far, I think that the winner might be Yamaha.

Sound Hire Surrey Companies and the Size of Your Event

Saturday, November 12th, 2011

Mirage MX SAT i gruppen Ljud / Hgtalare / Satellit hos Ljud & Bild ...The size of your event is one of the first facts that you will need to provide a sound and lighting company with on the day of your big event. Sound Hire Surrey companies usually offer packages of various sizes, depending on the amount of guests you choose to invite to your event and the size of the venue. Whether the venue is outside or not will also affect the package you choose so you need to be aware of these details before contacting your sound hire company.

LA Music Events Are Fun Year-Round!

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

So I realized that a lot of my favorite activities are seasonal. Going to the beach, snowboarding, picnics, camping and then there’s a couple others. Thank goodness there are so many LA music events happening like all the time to make up for my seasonal activities.

I currently go to school in LA and my friends are always asking me to go out to different events. With my school ID, I can usually get in college sponsored music events for free. All the local cafes I like going to have events every once in a while too. My local coffee shop ’round my apartment actually has an open mic night every Thursday.

LA is also home to some of the largest concert venues in the area. There’s the Honda Center, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, and the Yost Theatre to name a few.

With so many different choices, I always have something to look forward to going to over the weekend.

Ambition While Teaching Yourself

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

One summer, I figured out how to play guitar. It was a combination of teaching myself, learning from tutorials and getting chord information from websites. But the fact of the whole matter is that I really committed to getting that job done, and I didn’t leave my basement each day until I decided that I had really conquered the goals for the day. Learning an instrument is so much about devotion to the craft and immersing yourself in the culture of it all. If you want to be an acoustic guitar player, you should supplement your teaching with listening to a ton of acoustic guitar music. The same goes with other genres; we learn by observation, and it’s incredibly helpful to have models at which to look. It’s also inspirational, because you find that all of your favorite artists came from humble teaching beginnings, just as you did. This helps me to press on.

Where Do the Sounds in Movies Come From?

Monday, June 20th, 2011

Everyone knows that the soundtrack of a film is a very important part of what we experience when we go and see it. Imagine sitting in the theatre watching a blockbuster, but the only sounds were the actors talking. It would be boring… or at best just deliberately weird, more of an art-house movie than a hit.

Well, it may shock you to discover that many film makers these days don’t actually produce the sound effects for the film, and even the spectacular originally composed orchestral music might not be a ‘real’ orchestra at all. Many modern film music composers use sample libraries produced by great orchestras and prodcers to save on the astronomical expense of hiring the musicians and concert halls. Many sound designers even turn to professionally created commercial production music libraries rather than paying for any composition – so next time you are at the movies listen hard. Is that the same bit of drumbeat that was in Matrix 3?

My Search for Singing Lessons in Glasgow

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

I live in the United Kingdom, Scotland to be exact, and I sing in the local church choir. I do, however, feel a little inadequate when it comes to my singing ability. This is the reason why I chose to search for singing lessons in Glasgow.

I came across a couple of coaches but that was in the local phone book. In today’s day and age (computer age) I feel that it is imperative that any business have a web presence. None of the Glasgow singing coaches had sites, and this was a red flag for me.

After much searching I came across a singing course that could be used by anybody, in any part of the world. The only thing you needed was an internet connection. This course is called Singorama.

I had never heard of Singorama before, but I am glad I found it. I use it every single day, and have already noticed a marked improvement. Even my family has noticed that my singing has improved whenever we go out on our weekly karaoke sessions.

Bible Songs on CD

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

If you go to church often, then you probably have a handful of your favorite Bible songs that you get excited to hear in church when they come up. But the problem is that they may only come up a few times a year, and maybe even less if they are a lesser known one or only good for certain times of year. The solution to this is picking up a CD filled with your favorite songs from the Bible so that you can sing them whenever you want – in your car or at home. You can even import them into your iTunes library and put them on to your iPod or mp3 player of choice and take them around wherever you go. That way you will always have the words of the Lord with you so that you can listen to them and sing their praise. And the CDs are usually fairly cheap to purchase.

Piano for All – Digital Vs. Acoustic

Friday, November 19th, 2010

With the advent of digital technology everything in the world is moving towards the next generation of consumer products. The piano is no exception to this. Today if you are looking to buy a piano you are faced with two options- the traditional acoustic piano and the latest digital piano. Http://www.pianoforall.net can help you compare both these options before you make a choice. Digital pianos are far lighter in weight and economical. They also have additional facilities like inbuilt recording and head set plug-ins. They take less space and can be moved far more easily than the traditional acoustic piano. However the one thing that they do lack back on, which is by far the most important aspect of the instrument is sound. A digital piano never sounds like a grand traditional piano. The sound produced by the wooden sound board is hard to replicate, no matter how hard manufacturers try to. Also another lacking aspect is the traditional feel.

Are Violin Lessons Easier Than Guitar Lessons?

Friday, September 24th, 2010

People who hope to learn how to play a musical instrument are often confronted with too many choices. This is not an uncommon phenomenon particularly in a country where there are a hundred options for one single item. It is said that guitar lessons are the most popular. However, violin lessons are also gaining more popularity compared to the classic piano lessons which are being taken by almost 70% of school-aged children in the United States.

Music is known to stimulate the brain of a child. Hence, parents are eager to sign up their children for various music instructions. These often include lessons that teach them how to play a music instrument such as the guitar and the violin. Guitar lessons are said to be easier but violin lessons are known to be the elite among all lessons available.

At schools, these lessons are usually offered in the afternoon, with a part-time music instructor giving the lessons once a week for forty five minutes per session. Studies show that this industry has not been affected by the recent recession as parents are willing to spend a lot of money for the education of their children.

The Dj And His Equipment

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

“PLEASE DON’T STOP THE MUSIC”, the title and a famous line in Rihanna’s song, is often sung and danced by many outgoing people. They are delighted in going to clubs, meeting friends, and dancing their anxiety away. Hearing the DJ’s voice as well as his mixed music add more enjoyment to the already aggressive crowd. I wonder how the DJ is able to produce such extraordinary music accompanied by an astounding beat box. Perfect dj equipment is vital in his job. This helps him produce high quality sound that increases the crowd’s adrenaline. A laptop computer plays an vital role in this work. It allows him to play, mix, also store some music before heading to the club. Time and effort are much needed in this preparation. Aside from this gadget, speakers are equally important though. So, if you want to try being a DJ, you must have the passion and the right equipment!
